The M-151A2 1/4 ton utility truck is that last of the vehicles commonly called "Jeep" and the last of the 1/4 tons used by the Army. It was built by Ford and AM General from 1960 to 1969. This vehicle saw service with all branches of the military and served until the mid-80s when they were replaced by the HUMVEE.
The vehicle has a low silhouette, is powered by a 71 horsepower 4-cylinder engine, and has 4-wheel drive and an independent coil spring front and rear suspension to give it excellent off-road performance.
